Building a Personal Blog with Core PHP

When I set out to rebuild my personal site, I wanted something fast, transparent, and easy to reason about. No framework magic — just core PHP, MySQLi, and a thin routing layer.

In this post I walk through the folder structure, the front controller pattern, and how clean URLs are implemented with a single .htaccess rule.

The result is a codebase anyone can read top to bottom in an afternoon.
